Ron Paul Is Winning The Caucuses

Congressman Ron Paul is winning the caucuses. Maybe not in the polls but certainly in supporter enthusiasm and most importantly, delegates. In my precinct only 39 people cast votes for a GOP nominee, six delegates were elected, and multiple citizens spoke in favor of their candidates.

I used this opportunity to promote and explain non-interventionism and the golden rule, relating it to the core values of ‘Christian Conservatism’ as viewed by Jesus Christ, Thomas Jefferson, and Martin Luther King Jr. I assailed the idea of preemptive war and central banking, offering a true conservative alternative to the hawkish GOP field of choices. With such a low turnout us ‘Paul-Bots’ were able to dominate the conversation and persuade votes from a highly Neo-Conservative voting bloc. Three out of six elected delegates were Ron Paul supporters meaning that he will have the best chance at obtaining the necessary amount of delegates to expand his ideas, and potentially secure the nomination. Despite a second place finish in Minnesota, he may win the delegate fight and he in fact did win the delegate fight here in Wilkin County.

I probably know close to one hundred local teens that support Dr. Paul if they would have had the motivation to come out to the caucus, or the faith that their vote matters and will not be neglected, Paul would have dealt a crushing blow to the status quo in this county. Even if the ideas of free markets, liberty, and a humble foreign policy are labeled ridiculous and dangerous in 2012 Ron Paul’s ideas will stay afloat and become increasingly true and fitting in the years to come. That is why Ron Paul is winning the caucuses, because in these small community meetings his message rings loud and clear among energized attendees who seek to further the idea of freedom.

The delegates will choose our next GOP nominee, so let’s get enthused and physically attend these caucuses to ensure the grass roots is respected as the foundation of a presidential race.
